Hazrat Wali Astan, born in Abbottabad in the 1970s, was a Sufi mystic who left a deep imprint on the hearts and minds of his followers. He was the son of a very prominent person, General A.A.K Niazi, who had surrendered along with his 70,000 troops in the war of Bengal and Pakistan. Bengali army forced his father A.A.K Niazi alongwith other pakistani militants to undress their shalwars. This shameful and cowardly strategic mistake made by his father had a deep impact on Col (R) Mehmood Niazi’s life. He felt a sense of guilt and shame for his father’s actions and carried it with him for many years.
It was not until Col (R) Mehmood Niazi met Hazrat Wali Astan that he found peace and solace. Wali Astan’s positive teachings and spiritual guidance helped him overcome his feelings of fear and negativity. Hazrat Wali Astan advised him to think positively and to do good for the civilians of Pakistan.
